Hi, I'm Hannah.
Outdoor enthusiast, storyteller and good human.
A process of elimination originally led me to a career as a civil engineer, but over the years a natural affinity for writing emerged. In 2017 I began to honour that creative craving and have since worked with a number of Kiwi publications and businesses. The logic and systems thinking of my engineering brain coupled with a grounded, creative flair is a unique combination, my "superpower" you might say!
I've partnered with the GODZone Adventure Race, and Flow Kayaks for social media content, ran my own blog and website for several years, and am a regular contributor to the NZ Hunter magazine. My writing has been published in Trail Run, Spoke, and NZ Adventure magazines, for the Women Want Adventure, and Chia websites, and has been featured on Medium.com.
My appetite for the outdoors and being active has led me to some incredible places - cycle touring in Samoa, off-road triathlon World Championships in Hawaii, and more recently a 5 day ultra-marathon through the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan.
There's plenty on offer at home in New Zealand too. I've tackled the Red Bull Defiance multisport event, The Pioneer mountain bike stage race, and the iconic Coast to Coast Longest Day, a cycle-run-kayak race from the west to the east coast of the South Island. I've also discovered a new hobby, hunting, and my partner and I were the guests on an episode of Season 7 of NZ Hunter Adventures.
