Diversity, equity & inclusion statement

I am committed to my vision of creating a grief-informed world and my mission of helping individuals navigate loss, endings and change to rebuild with clarity, compassion and confidence. This statement is a public commitment to my vision, mission and my values.

I identify as a white, cisgendered, and able-bodied woman of Scottish heritage occupying land originally stewarded by the Māori people. My pronouns are she/her. From this reality I acknowledge my limitations in being able to represent the experiences of those with marginalised identities.

I also acknowledge that my own dismantling of inherent bias is an ongoing process, and I’m committed to continuing my education, learning in public, and growing in understanding and awareness.

The coaching, tools, and knowledge I share are intended to be used by people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, races, ethnicities, classes, sexual orientations, religious affiliations, body types, identities and abilities.

The core values of my business are human first, commitment to evolution, and service to collective transformation with diversity, equity and inclusion infused throughout. I believe that we are enriched by connecting with people who hold different perspectives of culture, background and realities and I seek personal, business, mentoring, coaching, development from those who share this belief.

While no space I create or hold can be 100% safe for everyone because I cannot know everyone’s full lived experience, I endeavour to cultivate space and community that honours and respects every human I interact with to the best of my ability.

I’m committed to:

  • Cultivating an inclusive coaching environment and brave spaces.

  • Cultivating a culture of compassion and curiosity.

  • This work on a mental, physical, spiritual, social and emotional level and I seek mentorship and support in this space. I also acknowledge that my capacity and motivation for any change, growth, learning will fluctuate in different seasons of my life.

  • Recognising and understanding systems of oppression, including but not limited to, white supremacy, white fragility, patriarchy, capitalism, and ableism.
